Recycle Depot will build a statewide network of innovative, efficient, and consumer-friendly redemption solutions - powered by retailer, recycler, and community partnerships - that is sustainable and built to last.

What We Do

  • Implement the Dealer Cooperative Stewardship Plan that meets CalRecycle and SB 1013 requirements.

  • Support our Member retailers by managing redemption obligations across shared zones.

  • Partner with redemption contractors to operate mobile units, bag drop systems, RVMs, and future depot locations.

  • Expand consumer access to CRV redemption, especially in hard-to-serve areas.

  • Ensure compliance, performance, and sustainability through data-driven planning and regulatory alignment.

About Us

Building a Smarter, Stronger Redemption System for California
 
Recycle Depot, powered by Circular CRV Association (C-CRV), is a nonprofit Dealer Cooperative founded in 2024 with the support of small independent grocers, large retail chain grocers, and the California Grocers Association. Recycle Depot was formed in direct response to SB 1013, which eliminated the in-lieu fee for beverage retailers and encourages the establishment of innovative and more accessible CRV redemption options across California -- especially in underserved communities. 

Recycle Depot brings together retailers, recyclers, and consumers to create a modern, convenient, and compliant statewide CRV redemption network. Through collaborative partnerships and strategic planning, we are reinventing how CRV redemption works—making it easier, cleaner, and more effective for all stakeholders.
